OWL IN A TOWEL Balsam Fir Hand Cream, 65 ml - Retail Value $12.00

Front of Owl in a Towel Hand Cream for Cocotique March 2024

If you often experience dry, cracked skin, this Balsam Fir Hand Cream from Owl in a Towel might be the thing for you. Its rich, creamy texture wraps my hands in a cocoon of moisture, effectively helping with dry, cracked skin after some consistent use. I appreciate how the product leaves my hands feeling hydrated but not at all greasy. Bonus points for how quickly it absorbs into the skin as well, allowing me to apply and carry on with my day without any sticky or slick discomfort. While I prefer non-scented products, the subtle pine aroma of this hand cream is pleasantly understated and not overwhelming. Lastly, as a bird lover myself, I think the logo is adorable.

DAILY CONCEPTS Daily Round Silicone Scrubber, 1-pc - Retail Value $12.00

Front of Daily Concepts Silicone Scrubber for Cocotique March 2024

I was intrigued when I first saw this Daily Round Silicone Scrubber from Daily Concepts in this month’s box. It’s a great everyday item as well as an excellent addition to my overnight bag. Unlike traditional loofahs, this scrubber’s silicone material stands out, offering a hygienic, quick-drying alternative that fights off bacteria. The thoughtful design includes a convenient finger loop that ensures easy handling during use and practical hanging for drying. Initially skeptical about how well a piece of silicone would lather, I was pleasantly surprised by the rich foam it produces, which allows for a thorough, satisfying cleanse. Even with my sensitive skin, this scrubber has proven to be incredibly gentle, avoiding irritation while seamlessly exfoliating and removing dead skin cells.

SHEA MOISTURE Raw Shea Butter Hydrating Body Lotion, 384 ml - Retail Value $9.99

Front of Shea Moisture Body Lotion for Cocotique March 2024

I’m no stranger to the brand Shea Moisture, and this Raw Shea Butter Hydrating Body Lotion is a standout product. I’ve had the pleasure of using this lotion before, and it’s even better this time around. This lotion has quickly become a staple in my post-shower moisturization routine, delivering an ample dose of hydration. Its rich formula is packed with skin-loving nutrients that provide lasting moisture without leaving behind a heavy residue. While the scent is something I could do without, I appreciate that it dissipates quickly, making it non-irritating to someone like me who prefers no fragrance in my skincare. That said, the generous size of the bottle is another major plus, and the product itself meets my hydration needs while doing so with gentle, effective care.

THE GLAMATORY Lip Potion in Jem, 6 ml - Retail Value $14.99

Front of The Glamatory Lip Potion for Cocotique March 2024

While lipstick isn’t a daily essential for me, this Lip Potion from The Glamatory has found a special place in my makeup bag for those moments that require some extra glam. The texture of the product is wonderfully luscious, making application an effortless experience. What really stands out is the formula’s ability to dry down without the stiffness typically associated with long-wear lip colors, maintaining comfort even over longer wear. Although the shade ‘Jem’ isn’t necessarily my go-to color, its versatility is appreciated, working well across a wide range of skin tones. This adaptability, combined with its durable yet comfy wear, makes it a great addition to my makeup arsenal for those occasions that call for a striking pop of color.

Now, this Lip Drip from The Glamatory is more my speed, and it has quickly reached the top of my favorites list. As someone who leans towards gloss over traditional lipstick or liquid lip products, this ticks all the boxes for me. The gloss in Creator delivers a beautiful sheen that enhances my lips without making them feel heavy or sticky. Its berry shade not only works well with my skin tone but also feels rejuvenating with each application, thanks to its nourishing formula, which is enriched with Vitamin E, coconut oil, and more. These ingredients work together to ensure my lips feel hydrated and comfortable throughout the day. The rich jewel tone of the gloss adds a touch of sophistication to any look, making it my new go-to for everyday wear.

Verdict

This was a good month for Cocotique! The highlight for me was Shea Moisture’s body lotion, which cloaks my skin in a supple layer of nourishing hydration, along with its fleeting fragrance. Owl in a Towel’s hand cream is another wonderfully hydrating product, targeting dry, cracked skin and effectively improving it with consistent use. I was pleasantly surprised by the Glamatory’s lip gloss (Lip Drip) in the shade Creator. The gloss’s formula is packed with ingredients that hydrate the delicate skin of my lips while maintaining a delightful sheen. The second lip product (Lip Potion) from the Glamatory is one that I’ll reach for whenever I need a pop of color. Despite it being a liquid lip, its formula doesn’t dry down in an uncomfortably stiff way unlike some other lipsticks. Lastly, the silicone scrubber from Daily Concepts… This scrubber is something I didn’t know I needed. It offers a rich lather that gently but effectively exfoliates and cleanses the skin. Overall, I thought this was a solid box. I personally could’ve done without two lip products in one box, but that’s my own personal preference; otherwise, the variation is good, and the value is there.
